Here is a list of some of the most Frequently Asked Questions you may find helpful!

I travel to perform wherever I am invited!  That invitation is the important part!!!
While my “home base” is located in Cincinnati, OH, most of my work is in the tri-state area of
Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.  However, when invited, I have traveled as far west as California, as far
south as Texas and Florida, as far north as Minnesota, and as far east as Massachusetts and Virginia.
I have also performed internationally in the countries of Ukraine, Honduras, and Australia, mate!

My goal is to make my visit to your school or library as easy for you as possible!
Therefore, all of my programs are entirely self-contained!  What could be easier than that?!?
I bring my own Sound System, Backdrop, and of course, all the Fun Stuff!
All you provide is a suitable performing area, an electrical outlet, and the audience!!!

Many people ask for my professional advice with this question, so here are my suggestions . . .
If students will be seated on the floor at the same level as the performance, I recommend no more than
150 students at a time.  If you try to invite more students, those sitting in the back feel that they can't see
and it can be a challenge to keep them seated.  No one gets as much out of a program in these situations.
Perhaps you have a place that allows students to be seated at a different level than the performance.
For example, if you have a stage and the students are seated on the floor or if students can be seated in
bleachers while I perform on the main floor, then I recommend as many as 400 students at a time.
Smaller groups are better than larger groups, but I wanted you to understand my thoughts.

Half-Day presentations consist of 1 or 2 programs.  Full-Day presentations consist of 3 or 4 programs.
Some schools also invite me to present an evening program for families in conjunction with the PTA/PTO.
You can select a different educational theme for an evening program or choose my Family Fun Night show!

All of my assembly programs can be reset during the time it takes for one group to leave the
performance area and the next group to arrive.  This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.

As the name implies, the Math-Magics Classroom Workshops are presented in the classroom
so the number of students in each session is based on the size of the classes in your school.
Students need to be seated at tables or desks and be able to work in small groups or 2 or 4. 
If there is a class with an odd number of students, the teacher will be needed to “even” things up.
I will need to use a chalkboard, marker board, or an overhead projector during the Explanation.
Schools typically schedule a Full-Day and we select specific grades (from 4th - 8th) for participation.
In some schools, I travel from classroom to classroom to teach the workshops.  In other schools,
the workshops are held in a central location (like the library) so that different classes take turns
coming to the workshop throughout the day.

I like to have 60-minutes for each group.  The number of workshops I can present depends
on the length of your school day and the length of each session.  In many cases, I am able
to present as many as 6 Math-Magics workshops in a typical school day.

School Assembly Programs are scheduled by the day rather than the number of presentations.
Half-Day Performances are $550 and include 1 or 2 Assembly Programs.
Half-Day Performances must be scheduled for either the Morning or the Afternoon.
Full-Day Performances are $850 and include 3 or 4 Assembly Programs.
The Full-Day can be shared between two different schools at no additional charge.
Travel Expenses for performances outside of the Greater Cincinnati Area may apply.
You may reduce or eliminate travel expenses by networking with other schools in your area!

You can reduce or eliminate travel expenses if you network with other schools or libraries in your area! Depending on where you are located there may be a minimum number of days that must be scheduled
in order for me to travel.  However, the travel expenses can be WAIVED if you are willing to help me
make connections with other schools or libraries in your area that book my program while I am in town.
I recommend that you send an e-mail to the others educators in your area or on your list serve to let people
know about the program you are hosting and ask if anyone wants to be part of the tour.
